​This book cover layout was a specific proiect to redesign a popular book. The well-known Great Gatsby book sparked my interest and I wondered what it would look like to modernize it. Keeping the Art Deco theme of the 1920s, I continued to use the colors navy blue and gold as well as the art deco pattern on the bottom third of the cover. I was still able to get the modern look I wanted with consistent simple minimal shapes, patterns, and typography.
